Terms & Condtions
- Definitions 1.1 “UltraPlumb NE” refers to the company providing plumbing services.
1.2 “Client” refers to the individual, company, or entity engaging UltraPlumb NE for services.
1.3 “Quote” refers to the written or electronic document detailing the scope of work and associated costs provided by UltraPlumb NE. - Services
2.1 UltraPlumb NE provides plumbing services, including but not limited to emergency plumbing, installations, repairs, and maintenance within Sunderland and surrounding areas.
2.2 All services are carried out to a high standard, utilising insured and qualified personnel.
- Quotes and Acceptance
3.1 Quotes provided by UltraPlumb NE are valid for a period of 30 days.
3.2 Acceptance of the quote by the Client constitutes a binding agreement to proceed with the outlined work under these Terms and Conditions.
3.3 Any changes to the scope of work after the quote is accepted may result in additional costs, which will be communicated to the Client in advance.
- Payment Terms
4.1 UltraPlumb NE will issue an invoice upon completion of the work. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.2 Payment can be made via cash, bank transfer, debit or credit card.
4.3 Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 2% per month, calculated daily from the due date until payment is received in full.
- Materials and Warranties
5.1 All materials supplied by UltraPlumb NE carry the manufacturer’s warranty.
5.2 UltraPlumb NE provides a 30 days warranty on workmanship from the date of completion, covering faults arising directly from the services provided. This warranty does not cover issues caused by misuse, accidental damage, or third-party interference.
5.3 The Client is required to sign a satisfaction note upon completion of the job, confirming their acceptance of the work.
- Client Responsibilities
6.1 The Client must ensure that UltraPlumb NE has full access to the premises to carry out the work as scheduled.
6.2 The Client must disclose any relevant information about the property or plumbing systems that could impact the work.
- Cancellations
7.1 The Client may cancel scheduled work by providing at least 48 hours written notice.
7.2 If the Client cancels within 48 hours, UltraPlumb NE reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee equal to £35 to cover any preparatory costs.
- Limitation of Liability
8.1 UltraPlumb NE is not liable for:
• Pre-existing issues that were not disclosed before work commenced.
• Damages caused by third parties or circumstances beyond their control.
8.2 UltraPlumb NE’s liability for any claim arising from the services provided is limited to the amount invoiced for that particular job.
- Disputes and Non-Payment
9.1 In the event of a dispute, UltraPlumb NE will endeavour to resolve the matter informally through discussion with the Client.
9.2 If payment is not made in full within the specified terms, UltraPlumb NE reserves the right to pursue legal action and recover any associated costs, including legal fees.
- Governing Law
10.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
- Amendments
11.1 UltraPlumb NE reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be provided to Clients and will take effect immediately for new quotes and agreements.
Key Notes Regarding Larger Companies
• Written acceptance of quotes is required before work begins to ensure clarity and protect both parties.
• All agreements, including job scope and payment terms, will be documented in writing and signed by both parties to avoid disputes.
